Introduction
As a branch of District Administration Office Udayapur, Area Administration Office was established on 2070-03-13 B.S. & with the aim of providing services to the citizens of Katari, Tapli, Udayapurgadhi in the west-northern part of the district, it has been providing services from Katari, the commercial center of the district. According to the authority delegated by the Chief District Officer, this office distributes new and duplicate Nepali citizenship certificates, recommends speedy and ordinary passports based on records of citizenship certificates, verifies tribes, Dalits, Madhesi, etc. Performs office inspections and other assigned tasks.
In the service area of Katari Area Administration Office, Katari municipality's ward No. 1 to 14, (previous Triveni, Katari, Risku, Sirise, Limpatar, Sorungchabise, Hardeni, Myankhu, Lekhani V.D.Cs.), Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality ward No. 1, 2, & 3 (previous Tawashri & Barre V.D.Cs.) & Tapli Rural Municipality ward No. 1, 2, 4 & 5 (previous Okhle, Lekhgaon, Thanagaon & Rupatar V.D.Cs.) are included.
